In August 2024, the FeN service robot traveled to China's Qinghai Cold Lake Mars Base, becoming the first service robot to operate in this high-altitude, cold, and arid environment known as "the most Mars-like place on Earth." Here, the FeN robot experienced its own version of "altitude sickness," requiring multiple system calibrations and adaptive adjustments before successfully overcoming the technical challenges posed by the environment. As a special member of the base restaurant staff, the FeN robot provided coffee service to visitors of all ages attending summer camps, demonstrating both technological resilience and service warmth in this extreme setting. This application in a challenging environment not only verified the FeN robot's environmental adaptability but also accumulated valuable experience for future deployments in diverse scenarios.
